Position Overview

Main project to be assigned would be the implementation support for EQMS (E-Queue Management System).

In this role, you will work with users and contractors to coordinate and accomplish the necessary project tasks and requirements. Candidate must have an eye for detail and a go-getter personality, ready to help synchronize all the project elements and make them operate successfully

Role & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst develops and designs system/data product solutions, tests the performance and usability of systems/data product and prepares user training documentation. He/She handles situations which may require broad research of client business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/She acts as a liaison between system users and technical staff to address questions and issues.

He/She possesses an analytical mind, and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability. He/She adopts a systematic approach in handling ambiguous or complex issues, and actively discusses his/her perspectives to arrive at effective solutions.

He/She is open-minded and innovative in exploring new and alternative solutions to optimise systems. He/She is able to engage and support others in the team, and readily put forth his/her ideas in a clear and compelling manner.

Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks

Identify business needs

• Document needs and objectives, current operational procedures, issues

• Develop detailed user requirement documents

• Prioritise requests from multiple sources

• Propose prioritisation of user requests

Analyse systems

• Analyse systems/data products and processes to identify enhancement opportunities

•Guide documentation of specifications and interfaces between systems/data products

• Identify system/data products deficiencies and performance gaps

• Support the review of existing business processes to identify opportunities

Develop solutions

• Identify options for resolution of system gaps

• Align system design with the needs of the users

• Prepare solution design specifications

• Support the preparation of solution proposals

• Advocate technical compatibility and user satisfaction

• Conduct change impact analysis

• Document system enhancements and detailed specifications

Manage project implementation

• Develop test plans and test cases

• Prepare test data to satisfy user acceptance test scenarios

• Document post-test evidence of expected results or defects

• Work with relevant stakeholders on user acceptance testing

• Support Planning of project timelines and resources needed

• Apply project management tools and processes to ensure project is cost-effective

• Prepare project status reports for stakeholders

• Follow best practices and frameworks for project implementation

• Schedule activities to drive deliverables toward meeting the overall project plan

• Work with users, technical staff and management to determine and resolve issues associated with project implementation

• Review work at critical milestones with team leader or sponsor to maintain their commitment and support

• Provide timely and accurate project progress information

Requirements

1.Bachelors in IT or related field preferred

2.At least 3 years’ experience in project management

3.Knowledgeable in operations domain

4.Proficient in Microsoft Project and/or other management software
