Position Overview
MOH, in partnership with Smart Nation and Digital Government (SNDG), Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and SynapXe, is developing a health-related data sharing platform [Trusted Research and Real world data Utilisation and Sharing Tech (TRUST)].
The goal is to maximize use of research and real-world datasets securely in an anonymized manner, so as to generate useful insights, support health data analytics, and improve health outcomes. More information on the platform can be found here: trustplatform.sg
TRUST is a data sharing and analytics platform that supports the secure use of research and real-world datasets to enable health research data analytics, to improve health outcomes for Singapore and support data-driven innovation.
This position reports to:
TRUST Data Concierge, Data Concierge Lead
This position works in a collective organisation consisting of:
1. Policy, Governance & Planning unit(s)
2. Data Management unit(s)
3. Technical & Development unit(s)
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a tertiary education in a quantitative discipline: e.g. Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Health Informatics.
- At least 4 years of working experience in the IT, Government or Healthcare sector
- Comfortable with large volume of data; and proven experience in data management or data analytics.
- Some knowledge of coding languages (SQL, R, Python).
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, flexible and has an excellent working attitude.
- Good oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate ideas succinctly.
- Good understanding of and experience in the healthcare sector and data will be a huge added advantage.
Role & Responsibilities
Leading and Improving Accessibility of Data for Analytics
- Curate and maintain data catalogue to facilitate users’ analytics work.
- Support business analysts interfacing with users in proposing relevant data for their research needs
- Work closely with the Data Management unit to investigate, document and remediate data quality issues (i.e. broken ETL (extract, transform and load) processes, data inconsistency between source systems or the lack of data dictionary standards)
- Work closely with Technical and Planning units to support the collation of business and clinical requirements from users to recommend the development/enhancement of appropriate data analytics solutions; which includes the development of the Next-Generation catalogue.
- Participate in workgroup and committees to lead, drive and support data analytics initiatives
