Position Overview
The Business Analyst develops and designs system/data product solutions with the purpose of improving business efficiency and productivity. He/She initiates the study and research of client business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/She analyses the feasibility of new systems and/or enhancements to existing systems.
He/She possesses an analytical mind and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability. He adopts a systematic approach in handling ambiguous or complex issues and actively discusses his/her perspectives to arrive at effective solutions.
This institution business analyst role serves as the link between business units and Synapxe to implement IT projects in achieving business objectives and goals.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support, coordinate work with various stakeholders to finalize and cater for the end-to-end needs for AIC Annual IT Work Plan Budget exercise.
- Develop a good understanding of the business processes or issues at operational level.
- Evaluate potential IT solutions and make recommendation to resolve business challenges.
- Support project delivery team to ensure timely implementation of IT workplans in accordance with governance and policies (e.g. procurement, SRB).
- Review and verify project cost before financial approval. Collaborate with business unit and project delivery team to secure funding for IT project implementation.
- Facilitate the submission of progress reports and cashflow projection for MOH-Funded Projects'.
- Provide financial analysis of IT spending (from IT budget, utilization to variance analysis)
- Support AIC finance with cash-flow expenditure forecast and utilization with analysis.
- Provide secretariat support for meetings (if required), e.g., project steering comm.
Requirements
- Degree holder with 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience.
- 3 to 8 years of IT and business or healthcare (added advantage) work experience; with 3-5 years in project management and implementations.
- Experience in engaging, facilitating and managing group discussion sessions.
- Able to communicate and articulate business objective and deliverables in a clear and concise manner to different target audience.
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills. Flair in problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with groups from diverse disciplines.
