Position Overview

The Business Analyst develops and designs system/data product  solutions with the purpose of improving business efficiency and productivity. He/She initiates the study and research of client business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/She analyses the feasibility of new systems and/or enhancements to existing systems.

He/She possesses an analytical mind, and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability. He adopts a systematic approach in handling ambiguous or complex issues, and actively discusses his/her perspectives to arrive at effective solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Understand hospital operations and user requirements to perform detailed clinical system analysis and conceptualize application solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver functional specifications, perform application configuration, unit testing, functional testing, documentation and coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with clients to provide support and advice to clients in hospital clinical systems usage. At times, conduct trainings for users.
  • Coach and guide users in clinical system usage and process.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and/or clinical programme teams, including engaging key users and support personnel, in the pre/post deployment process.   
  • Project RFP preparation, tender evaluation, and implementation of systems.
  • KTLO (Keep The Light On), providing 24/7 hours support to users

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Able to work independently, multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable to changes. 
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience and strong knowledge in full SDLC cycle.
  • Good team player, resourceful, flexible and excellent working attitude.
  • Knowledge of business and IT in healthcare industry is an added advantage.
