Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Tableau and a deep understanding of data visualization, analytics, and business intelligence. The Tableau SME will be responsible for providing expert guidance, developing dashboards, and ensuring best practices in data visualization across the organization

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations
  • Provide training and support to team members on Tableau best practices and functionalities
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all visualizations and reports
  • Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends to continuously improve data visualization strategies
  • Assist in the development of data governance policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Tableau SME or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Tableau dashboards.
  • In-depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
  • 5-10 years experience in data visualisation solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Professional).
  • Experience with other BI tools and data visualization software.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
