Network Engineer - CCIE (Central)

Position Overview

A Principal Network Engineer leads the strategic planning, design, and implementation of complex network systems. This role involves developing long-term network strategies, ensuring high performance and security, and resolving critical network issues. Key responsibilities include project implementation, optimizing network performance, conducting security audits, and mentoring engineering teams. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends are essential.

Role & Responsibilities

Network Project and Implementation

• Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of complex network systems.
• Ensure network solutions meet performance, security, and scalability needs.
• Lead large-scale network projects and review vendor designs.
• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and manage presentations, budgets, procurement and contract renewals.
• To lead POC testing on new initiatives and new requirements.

Performance and Security Management

• Implement advanced security measures and conduct audits.
• Optimize network performance and maintain disaster recovery plans.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting

• Resolve critical network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Tier 3/4 support on network related outages.
• Manage vendor relationships and high-impact conflicts.

Leadership and Strategy

• Mentor Team members.
• Define and implement network architecture standards.

Audit, Compliance, Documentation and Reporting

• To manage auditors' audits on NAC, NMS system, internet network and all post audit follow-up work.
• Maintain network, process documentation and prepare performance reports.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of computer engineering or equivalent
• CCNP / CCIE certified
• At least 7 years working experience in routing and switching, eg. OSPF, BGP.
• Technically sound in Aruba Clearpass Policy Manager, Cisco ISE, dot1x, radius, EAP-TLS, Device profiling, posture check.
• Technically sound in Solarwind Hybrid Cloud Observability, Network Configuration Manager, Network Performance Manager.
• Good knowledge in wireless and cloud computing.
• Good knowledge in network security, eg. Next-gen firewall.
• Ability to manage both projects and operations work.
• Experience in participating in audits and audit finding resolution.
