The Queue Management System, including self-service kiosks, is an essential system for healthcare institutions to deliver their services and is tightly integrated with other key systems in the healthcare landscape. As such, with the setting of new clinics or setting up of new national systems like National Billing System (NBS) and National Harmonised Integrated Programme System (NHIPS), projects to enhance the Queue Management System and kiosks is pivotal as well. As with any system, it faces components which will require refresh (eg due to end of support). Tech Refresh projects will focus on tackling those to ensure components are kept up to date.

 

The intern will be involved in the support of Electronic Queue Management System (EQMS) and Self-Service Kiosks; Participate in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities from requirements gathering, project and stakeholder management, testing and deployment.

 

Skills developed through this internship:

  • Basic knowledge of system architecture, network and IT security

  • Learn the type of EQMS that are deployed in various institutions

  • Learn to write proper notes of minutes, summarise the key points that are discussed in meetings

  • Experience organisational processes

  • Experience SDLC activities from requirements gathering, project and stakeholder management, testing and deployment

 

About you:

  • Be pursuing a Diploma in Business Information Systems or related discipline

  • Graduating in May 2025

  • Basic knowledge of system architecture, network and IT security

  • Exercises computational thinking to digest and resolve large complex issues

  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work with different disciplines

  • Positive attitude and willing to explore new technologies

  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
