The intern will join SingHealth CIO Office to assist the SingHealth Research ACT (AWS Control Tower) platform manager in development of agentic AI to streamline and automate some routine operation tasks.

The selected intern will participate but not limited to the following:

• AWS Cost Management & Excel Automation 
  • ACT manages multiple AWS sandbox environments, but manual cost tracking, reporting, and resource optimization processes are inefficient and time-consuming.
  • This project aims to develop an automated solution using native AWS services, Excel automation, and AI-driven resource optimization to streamline these processes.
• AWS Security Monitoring and Prediction System
  • The existing AWS environment faces a lot of challenges in monitoring and securing access to critical resources, e.g., tedious tracking and monitoring of user activities, poor visibility/insights of security insights, lack of automated threat detection and prevention, etc.
  • The goal is to implement a more robust and automated security monitoring and incident response system to overcome these challenges.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Applied AI and Analytics, Business Information Systems, Information Technology or related discipline
• Graduating in May 2027
• Experience with AWS or general cloud computing concepts
• Knowledge of Excel functions
• Strong Python programming skills with understanding of fundamental data structures and scripting concepts
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and basic documentation skills
• Ability to work with data preprocessing and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools
• Basic understanding of security concepts and log analysis
• Understanding of basic machine learning concepts and libraries
• Experience with data analysis and handling, particularly using Pandas
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
