Position Overview
The Project Analyst is responsible for driving the successful delivery of minor project(s) or enhancement(s) to meet the end users' business objectives. He/She ensures the project is well planned, on-track, resolves issues immediately and mitigates any potential risks early to avoid project failure. He/She works in collaboration and co-ordinates with business users, internal and external teams to ensure project is successfully completed within budget & scope, on time and with quality. He/She works under supervision, and provides regular progress update to key stakeholders and management, and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner. He/She also participates in annual workplanning and assists in estimation of budget for new demands.
He/she possess competent project management skills to develop and manage project plans, timelines, scope, budgets, resources, deliverables, and perform issue management and risk management, in a structured and methodological approach. He/She is a keen learner, a good communicator and a strong team player. He/She is adaptable to change in an agile and volatile environment while taking ownership and deliver works with integrity.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Management
- Determine project goals to ensure the project supports business objectives and strategies.
- Communicate project objectives junctures to obtain buy in from all stakeholders.
- Perform scoping and coordination of assessments and drive assessments to delivery.
- Develop project plans which include requirements, scope, deliverables, resources, budget, and schedules.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements to achieve optimal resource utilization.
- Ensure technical solution is suitable and enforce use of best practices and frameworks for project implementation.
- Identify, manage, and track issues, risks and dependencies that affect the delivery of the project outcome.
- Track project deliverables and ensure projects are completed within budget, schedules, and quality standards.
- Present reports and project updates to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Engagement, communication, and promotion of plans to key stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure integration is included in relevant workplans.
- Manage vendor to deliver projects, change requests and service requests on time to meet overall project goals.
- Deliver projects in line with agreed standards, providing fit for purpose solutions within constraints.
- Ensure smooth transition from project delivery to operations.
Requirements
- Degree in IT or equivalent
- At least 6-8 years within IT industry, with at least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in Project Management and handling projects from initiation to completion.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and experience through minimum 5 full project lifecycles.
- Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in one or more of the following types of project implementations: major system implementations, major system integration projects, major migration projects.
- Possess leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different groups of stakeholders.
- Strong critical skills such as collaboration, oral, written, and verbal communication skills and analytical capability.
- Increased acumen for planning, strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
- People, result, and customer oriented with multi-tasking capabilities.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment and be a good team player.
- Healthcare domain knowledge would be an advantage.
