Project Manager - Epic (ICE)

Position Overview

The Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) is a mission critical healthcare critical information infrastructure (CII) system that touches every aspect of healthcare delivery in Singapore. The system has been live since 2020 and has direct impact to patient safety, clinical outcome, operation efficiencies and patient billing. The rollout is forecast to be completed in 2024.

As a single unified electronic medical record (EMR) across the National University Health Systems (NUHS) and National Healthcare Group (NHG), NGEMR enhances care management and delivery, while empowering patients. It records the entire patient journey across different care settings, enabling patient-centric care and seamless care transition. NGEMR also supports clinical decision with its intelligent alerts and data analytical capabilities. The aggregation of data translates to insights for medical education, research and population management to achieve better health outcomes.

The successful candidate will be supporting NGEMR (Epic) Innovation projects that require application changes and integration/interface with NGEMR, Epic not limited to the following:
(1) Epic integration with Speech Recognition software (Nuance, Abridge etc)
(2) Epic integration with PROMS (Patient Reporting Outcome Measure Systems)
(3) Application enhancement on Haiku, Canto etc.
(4) Any upcoming innovation projects require Epic integration.

Role & Responsibilities

• Candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for the implementation and operations for design, configuration / build, testing, debugging and implementing Epic modules; Ambulatory, Ambulatory Specialty Applications (Kaleidoscope, Bones, Dermatology, Phoenix), MyChart, EpicCare Link, Healthy Planet, Healthy Planet Link, and other specified Epic functionalities in based on the project requirements.
• Candidate is responsible for complex build configuration work and advance issue resolution in the several assigned Epic modules from Ambulatory, Ambulatory Specialty Applications (Kaleidoscope, Bones, Dermatology, Phoenix), MyChart, EpicCare Link, Healthy Planet, Healthy Planet Link
• Candidate is responsible to support evaluation and impact assessment of queries in several assigned Epic modules; Ambulatory, Ambulatory Specialty Applications (Kaleidoscope, Bones, Dermatology, Phoenix), MyChart, EpicCare Link, Healthy Planet, Healthy Planet Link. 
• Candidate is responsible to support the integration / interface related to Epic EMR with other 3rd party systems.
• Candidate will be part of the team during the go live support for each go live phase.
• Candidate is required to be a team player to work together with the existing implementation team to ensure the successful delivery of project deliverables.
• Candidate is required to ensure proper knowledge management of work to ensure continuity.
• Candidate applies critical and analytical thinking toward developing optimal application solutions. He is a strong leader who is decisive, able to engage, influence and communicate his ideas persuasively to others.
   

Requirements

• Successful track record in project management, user and vendor management and as a Project Manager for small to mid-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, able to present ideas and opinions with conviction at all Management levels.
• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in project management.
• Experience in healthcare industry is an added advantage.
• Experience working on EMR or healthcare system is an advantage.
• Proven success in system development life cycle.
• Candidates is to attain Epic (T3) certification in assigned modules and perform build-related activities to meet agreed requirement.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
