Project Manager - IT Infrastructure (Infra Portfolio)

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the project is well planned, on-track, resolves issues immediately and mitigates any potential risks early to avoid project failure. He/She works in collaboration and co-ordinates with business users, internal and external teams to ensure project is successfully completed within budget & scope, on time and with quality. He/She works under supervision, and provides regular progress update to key stakeholders and management, and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership and assists in planning and executing procurement on IT Infrastructure related systems and IT products.
• Oversee and manage of current IT contracts including contract status and validity to trigger the appropriate actions.
• Facilitate to translate project team’s technical requirements into procurement requirements, plan and execute the procurement end to end until PO issuance. Procurement would include RFQ, RFP, Contract Variation, etc.
• Ensure procurement work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s policies and processes. Ensure compliance and maintain the necessary documentations and records.
• Possesses strong leadership and communication abilities. Able to set realistic goals and implement appropriate plans to guide the team toward achieving those goals. To address multi-faceted issues effectively and in a collaborative manner including across departments.
• Be the procurement subject matter expert to the project team, provide strategic advice, and lead the procurement tasks/projects with the best and most effective options to achieve the objective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 5-6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure projects (network / systems), managing end-to-end process from RFP to delivery
• Experience with IT procurement in large organization or public sector, familiar with procurement policies, support RFP specification, pricing, evaluation etc.
• Experience writing management approval paper 
• Strong stakeholder and risk mitigation experience
• PMP or equivalent project manager certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and networking principles
• Excellent communication, leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively under pressure
