Position Overview

The Business Analyst develops and designs system/data product  solutions with the purpose of improving business efficiency and productivity. He/She initiates the study and research of client business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/She analyses the feasibility of new systems and/or enhancements to existing systems.

He/She possesses an analytical mind, and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability. He adopts a systematic approach in handling ambiguous or complex issues, and actively discusses his/her perspectives to arrive at effective solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan business analysis approach by defining the methods, techniques, and tools to be used for business analysis.
  • Work with the PM and BA Lead to define goals, work timeline, and expected deliverables for business analysis.
  • Support the setup of governance to track status, risks, changes, and issues pertaining to day-to-day management of all functional areas of system/data product analysis.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and needs.
  • Lead the collection of information about new or existing systems/data products for analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the business requirements specifications and feasibility studies on possible solutions.
  • Identify and document the relationships between requirements, design, and solutions using a Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Monitor throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to final implementation that requirements are built in the IT solution as expected.
  • Support the feasibility study of design options including solution limitations.
  • Recommend solutions maximizing business value for the future state.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant hands-on experience in project management.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Successful track record in project management and programme management, user and vendor management and as a Project Manager above SGD 5Mil.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication, analytical and conflict resolution skills as well as an effective team player.
  • Excellent customer service mindset, able to motivate, lead a team and work with multiple functional teams
  • Experience in healthcare industry or public sector IT programmes and projects is an added advantage.
