Senior Manager - AIMSG Projects (ICE)

Position Overview

The Senior Manager plans and oversees one or multiple inter-dependent projects spanning multiple years that impact one or more business units or one larger project. This role is part of Synapxe Innovation Capabilities Enablement (ICE) team focusing on project management for innovation projects. Your main role is to project manage one of the initiative projects on AI Medical Imaging Platform for Singapore Public Healthcare (AimSG). You will also need to manage and oversee the end-to-end operations lifecycle of the innovation sandbox i.e. the onboarding/offboarding of startups and innovators solutions. You are also required to work closely with the grant desks to evaluate the technical feasibility and alignment of grant applicants’ innovative solution for POC or POV initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

Develop project plan:

• Develop the integrated project plan including detailed activities, resource planning, cost estimation per project
• Work with stakeholders to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables
• Review project plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects
• Procure project requirements such as workforce, required information, various agreements and material or technology needed
• Guide team to deliver plans aligned to overall project objectives
• Set expectations for periodic and milestone reviews including status reports, project risk identification and other dashboards. Design training to enable effective application of project management framework across the organization

Implement project:

• Drive project to meet schedules, budget, manpower and technical quality targets
• Drive project discipline to document scope changes, issues and risks that affect implementation
• Work with users, technical staff and management to determine and resolve issues associated with project implementation
• Conduct regular project reviews to recommend schedule changes, cost or resource adjustments. Work with stakeholders to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables

Oversee and manage Innovation Sandbox:

• Drive innovator/startup adoption to innovation sandbox
• Oversee the end to end operational lifecycle of the innovator/startup solution on the innovation sandbox
• Track the KPIs and outcome of solution deployed to the innovation sandbox and provide insightful analysis on the progress and impact of these sandbox initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
• Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript
• Experience with infrastructure technologies like Operating Systems (Windows and Linux), networking, storage, virtualisation
• Familiar with testing automation tools
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• Previous success in Software Engineering and leading small engineering teams of 5 - 10 engineers
• Coding experience beyond simple scripts
• Excellent communication
• A natural problem solver
