Position Overview
You will play an important role to lead enterprise risk management programme & risk initiatives in Synapxe. In this role, you will be responsible to develop, implement and continuously increasing risk maturity, awareness and raise capabilities. You will apply existing strong working experience and knowledge of continuous improvement in respect of governance, risk management and compliance. You will be given supervisory responsibilities and expected to manage and coach staff.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and ensure fit-for-purpose and effectiveness of a comprehensive enterprise risk management programme and frameworks. Ensure relevance amidst changing business needs and landscape.
- Develop, implement and maintenance of Synaxpe Appetite framework including monitoring of adherence to the appetite through associated risk indicators for the risk domains.
- Work with closely with senior business leaders to identify key risks across the organisation and discuss possible solution with them. You will work with departments to assess and monitor those risks.
- Establish and uphold the central risk register.
- Continuously improve risk initiatives such as Self-Identified Issues, Central Issues Registry, Read Across Programme.
- Advocate and embed risk management practices across the organisation.
- Develop and continuously improve on risk dashboards and reports for risk monitoring and provide meaningful insights.
- Manage risk escalations; you are expected to engage senior stakeholders to communicate and resolve key issues.
- Proactively identify key emerging enterprise risks within the business segments and or industry.
- Conduct training, enhance culture needs and raise awareness on risk management.
- Lead process improvements, harmonization, and operational efficiencies e.g. streamlining, automation. Always seeking process improvements and a better way to do things.
- A key player in the ServiceNow enterprise risk management modules implementation.
- Responsible in management the Risk Management Committee meetings and be actively involved in the performing secretariate duties.
- Function as subject matter expert on enterprise risk management related matters.
- Manage staff and ensure successful delivery of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) plans, programmes & initiatives, and meeting expectations of stakeholders. Accountable and responsible for delivering on commitments.
- Drive special and ad-hoc projects, assigned work and department activities (e.g. demand management) as required.
- Manage stakeholders and partner/collaborate with business units across Synapxe and MOHH entities to achieve mutual objectives.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Accountancy.
- At least 8 years’ experience in Governance, Controls, Technology, Data Security and Operational risk management, and audit.
- Aptitude and experience in first, second or third lines of defence.
- Strong technical skills in and risk management and internal controls concept.
- Thorough knowledge on well-recognized frameworks & standards such as ISO31000 and COSO ERM.
- Industry-recognised risk certifications, or certifications in relevant areas such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP certifications.
- Thought leadership, keen insights, and a forward-looking mindset.
- Passion for automation, and actively looking for opportunities to streamline and simplify processes, and to drive positive change within the organisation.
- Resilient and has the drive and desire to achieve results with deadlines.
- Highly adaptable to varying situations and always looking at the bigger picture.
- Demonstrate keen interest in keeping up with technology through regular certifications, taking up courses.
