Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – SAP S/4HANA FICO to lead the Finance & Controlling (FICO) workstream in a large-scale S/4HANA transformation project. The role requires strong expertise in SAP Finance, leadership in project delivery, and the ability to align technology with business objectives. The Senior Manager will oversee end-to-end design, implementation, stakeholder management, and governance of the FICO solution to ensure successful project outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the SAP S/4HANA FICO workstream, ensuring timely and quality delivery of project milestones.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for Finance & Controlling, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment to hypercare.
  • Drive integration between FICO and other S/4HANA modules (e.g., MM, SD, PS) as well as external systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with business leaders, finance teams, and IT counterparts to understand strategic objectives and translate them into functional designs.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and provide regular status updates to steering committees.

Solution Design & Governance

  • Provide thought leadership and best practices for Finance transformation using SAP S/4HANA.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Oversee solution governance, risk management, and change management for the FICO workstream.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of system analysts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with technical teams, data migration, testing, and integration leads.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure solution quality and adherence to project methodology (e.g., Activate, Agile, or Hybrid approaches).
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and value realization post go-live.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 12+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role managing large SAP Finance transformation projects
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI, CO, Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, RE-FX, Grantor/Grantee Management, In-house Cash, MDG, etc.)
  • Proven experience in greenfield S/4HANA implementations
  • Solid understanding of finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Asset Management, Treasury)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project teams and multiple stakeholders in complex organizations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional certifications such as SAP S/4HANA Finance, CPA, or PMP are a plus
  • Experience in Singapore healthcare or public industry is a plus
