Position Overview
The Senior Program Manager drives and manages healthcare-wide programs across Public Healthcare Clusters to deliver anticipated benefits and shape the future of health. They oversee all program components—systems, products, and services—and coordinate interrelated projects to achieve holistic outcomes. The role involves collaborating with governance bodies and sponsors to ensure alignment with strategic goals and adjusting plans to optimize benefit delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
Program Formulation & Planning
- Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to develop business cases and secure funding.
- Define expected benefits and develop a program roadmap with project interdependencies and cost estimates.
- Identify stakeholder needs, manage expectations, and establish effective communication.
- Set up governance, acquire resources, and develop schedules and milestones.
- Conduct environmental and risk assessments, and create risk management and quality plans.
- Develop a comprehensive program management plan covering formulation, delivery, and closure.
Delivery & Closure
- Oversee project execution to ensure integration, timely completion, and benefit delivery.
- Implement consistent program management processes and formalize project scopes and schedules.
- Monitor interdependencies, manage changes, and realign plans as needed.
- Manage risks, issues, and escalate to steering committees when necessary.
- Track performance, progress, budgets, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and conduct after-action reviews.
- Manage program closure activities including financials, resource transition, and documentation archiving.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in SAP capabilities
- Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
- Confidence to engage effectively with senior management and leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear and concise communications for a variety of key stakeholders at different levels
