Position Overview

The Associate Business Analyst provides analytical support for the development of technology solutions that meet business needs. They

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify, clarify, and document business requirements.
  • Assist with the assessment of the viability and effectiveness of solution options that can meet business needs

Role & Responsibilities

  • Discover, assess, and prioritize automation use cases by observing day-to-day processes, mapping workflows, and quantifying potential impact (time saved, error reduction)
  • Conduct user requirement analysis to define functional and non-functional needs for new automations and enhancements to existing flows
  • Design, build, and test RPA solutions using UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, applying AIC governance and security guardrails
  • Integrate automations with Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, Excel, Dataverse) and relevant IT Applications through approved connectors
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to implementation, ensuring robust exception handling and recovery paths  
  • Plan and coordinate end‑user training and handover (how to trigger, monitor, and escalate), including quick‑reference guides and short demo videos  
  • Liaise closely with business users to validate outcomes and iterate on improvements; build good rapport and communicate status clearly
  • Work with vendors or platform teams (e.g Power Platform admins, security reviewers) on testing, patching, version upgrades, and compliance to AIC methodologies/policies
  • Support the team with requirement tracking, documentation (process maps, solution design, test cases), and maintaining a catalogue of automations
  • Provide production support during business hours (and release windows as required), including monitoring, incident triage, and basic root‑cause analysis

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform especially Power Automate (Cloud/Desktop) and interest in building bots; exposure to Power Apps and Power BI is a plus
  • Advanced programming/scripting proficiency (e.g. Python, JavaScript, or VBA), with comfort using APIs/JSON, Excel automation, and HTTP connectors
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with different groups and levels of stakeholders
  • Good communication and negotiation skills; can translate business pain points into clear technical requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently with a structured problem‑solving approach
  • Awareness of enterprise governance for automations (security reviews, change management, audit trails) and the differences between attended vs. unattended bots; willingness to learn AIC’s guardrails
  • Experience or exposure in healthcare or public sector workflows is an added advantage
