Position Overview

The System Engineer specialises in developing and maintaining the OutSystems components of IAM solution. This role focuses on building custom OutSystems applications, user interfaces, and integrations with SailPoint's identity governance platform. The engineer collaborates with stakeholders and vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions that enhance our IAM ecosystem's functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain OutSystems applications and connectors for IAM product integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between identity systems and enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting on OutSystems components, resolving user-reported issues and maintaining system stability to meet SLA requirements.
  • Support large scale identity lifecycle change events.
  • Collaborate with vendor teams and internal stakeholders on OutSystems deployment, upgrades, and problem resolution whilst minimising system disruption.
  • Support application onboarding processes by developing OutSystems integrations, configuring workflows, and implementing change deployments for new IAM-connected applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering OutSystems development work, including requirements, design specifications, test cases, deployment procedures, and user guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting applications on the OutSystems platform.
  • In-depth knowledge of OutSystems, including Service Studio, Integration Studio, and Lifetime.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Demonstrable experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs for system integration.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
