The intern will assist with Procurement data analytics including visualisation and explore opportunity for AI. The intern will also be involved in co-design/build/implement a solution or tool to allow Synapxe Procurement to perform automated market intelligence.

During the internship, responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Performing data analytics including preparing visualisation using Tableau
• Explore possible situations of using AI to streamline procurement processes 
• Research, design and propose a solution to provide Synapxe Procurement department staff means to perform Procurement Market Intelligence work in a more automated manner.
• Perform business analysis understand and map out the as-is process and effort involved in current way of performing Market Intelligence, and compare with the to-be solution in order to present the estimated “return of investment” (ROI) in investing resources and effort moving the proposed solution into implementation phase (which might require man effort from other departments)
• Collaborate with other Synapxe departments (such as Corporate IT, Data & Analytics departments)
• Suggest technical solution – web scrapping (for price or industry news of interest) – i.e. to build database so that Procurement team can be notified (automated via pre-defined rules) or is well-informed of the best price or news in the market
• An example of today’s use cases of web scrapping technology is: purchase of airplane tickets, web scrapping techniques is widely adopted by online 3rd party travel platforms for scrap through the web and find the best provider that offer you the flight at the lowest price

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related discipline

• Graduating in May/Dec 2026

• Background in Data analytics and AI or Data science programming and web scrapping experience is preferred – with knowledge of data visualisation tool like tableau and understanding of web scrapping framework and its associated tools.

• Candidate with strong programing skills (eg Python, SQL, Java etc) is encouraged to apply

• Knowledge in data storage relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle etc

• Good understanding and has keen interest to expand his/ her knowledge in area of general artificial intelligence technology, machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, data analytics, data visualisation etc

• Good to have data visualization tool experience (such as Tableau) and familiar with excel, including Power Query

• Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player

• Possess strong leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills

• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
