The Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) is one of the three major healthcare programmes that Singapore has embarked on to transform care delivery in Singapore.

As a single unified electronic medical record (EMR) across the three healthcare clusters, NGEMR enhances care management and delivery, while empowering patients. It records the entire patient journey across different care settings, enabling patient-centric care and seamless care transition. NGEMR also supports clinical decision with its intelligent alerts and data analytical capabilities. The aggregation of data translates to insights for medical education, research and population management to achieve better health outcomes.

This national project opportunity will enable the selected intern to learn:

• User requirement gathering with various Singhealth institutions clinicians, nurses and Operation staff on their onboarding process from legacy system to new NGEMR systems.
• Translate functional requirements into technical design specifications and collaborate with the vendor
• Solution design and execution for NGEMR adoption in all SingHealth institutions
• System integration testing and user acceptance testing ensuring accuracy and completeness of converted data according to NGEMR standards
• Data extraction for data conversion from existing Singhealth systems to NGEMR
• Identify and address any data quality issues that arise during the conversion process
• Timely project reporting to Project Manager on assigned project works
• Healthcare knowledge and workflow during the requirement gathering and solution design phases.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering and Media, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
• Graduating in May/Dec 2025 or May 2026
• Possess business analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exercise computational thinking to digest and resolve large complex issues
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
