The internship project will focus on strategic communications, marketing and event management for HealthTech initiatives at Synapxe. The intern will have the opportunity to engage with relevant stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of strategic communications initiatives, including storytelling, PR activities, and marketing campaigns. They will also be involved in developing collateral materials that showcase the impact of HealthTech initiatives.

 

In addition, the intern will play a key role in the creative planning and implementation of corporate-wide events. This will involve working closely with the team to ensure successful event execution and positive participant experiences. The intern will also be responsible for media monitoring, keeping the Synapxe staff informed about the latest developments in the HealthTech and healthcare industries, both locally and globally.

 

To support the External Communications Team, the intern will be assigned administrative and adhoc tasks as needed to achieve the overall project objectives and ensure smooth running operations. This will provide them with a well-rounded experience and the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the project.

 

The scope of internship will include:

 

  • Engage relevant stakeholders and work together deliver strategic communications initiatives like storytelling, PR activities and marketing
  • Develop collateral to showcase HealthTech initiatives and Synapxe Technologists that transform health and delivery of care
  • Contribute to the creative planning and implementation of corporate-wide events
  • Media monitoring to keep Synapxe staff apprised of the latest HealthTech and Healthcare local and global industry developments
  • Support in organising events and taking care of media event logistics to achieve the organisation’s objectives and ensure positive participant experience
  • Monitor data on our media reports and publicity activities within and beyond Synapxe
  • Maintain and regularly update several databases for media events, knowledge management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide procurement support for services and assets required by the department
  • Create and update presentations for stakeholder engagement
  • Any adhoc tasks, as assigned to ensure smooth running operations of the projects


About you:

 

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related discipline
  • Graduating in May/Dec 2025 or May 2026
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in a second language will be considered favorably.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to craft, proof read and edit content
  • Understanding of public relations and media relations practices
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
  • Ability to create engaging and persuasive content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing software
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
