The objective of the project is to develop state of the art computer vision model, to conduct classification, object detection, segmentation, video analytics and interpretation of medical images/videos. The model will serve as a decision support tool for clinicians to augment diagnosis accuracy and enhance productivity. The model can be subsequently transferred to learn related tasks by fine tuning it with medical images/videos from other domains.

- A publicly available medical dataset will be downloaded and used for the project.

- In the first phase of the project the candidate will be applying image processing and data exploration techniques to get acquainted with the dataset and create a data processing pipeline to prepare the data in a suitable format for model ingestion.

- In the second phase of the project the candidate will use the preprocessed medical data and transfer learning to fine-tune state-of-the art computer vision models pre-trained with public image datasets.

- At the end of the project the candidate will be familiarized with image processing and advanced deep learning techniques and with python libraries for computer vision.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Graduating in May/Dec 2025 or May 2026
• Strong coding skills in Python programming language.
• Experience with image processing and deep learning
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
