The objective of the internship is to support the operationalization and testing of a rule-based anomaly detection model and to develop and validate machine learning models for anomaly detection in a finance use-case.

The selected intern will participate but not limited to the following:

• Refinement and Validation of Rule-Based Model: Work on refining existing rule-based models to improve their accuracy and effectiveness in detecting anomalies.
• Model Deployment and Testing: Assist in the deployment, testing, and optimization of the anomaly detection model to ensure it functions correctly in a production environment.
• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Conduct exploratory data analysis to familiarize yourself with the finance datasets and gain preliminary insights that can inform model development.
• Data Processing and Cleaning: Process and clean the data to transform it into a suitable format for model development, ensuring high-quality input for the algorithms.
• Algorithm Exploration: Explore multiple algorithms and rules to identify anomalies, and evaluate the performance of different models to determine the most effective approach.
• Presentation of Results: Prepare slide decks and present findings and results to stakeholders, effectively communicating insights and recommendations.

Note:
The scope of the project may change depending on company priorities. Additionally, the intern may be asked to contribute to and support other ongoing projects and duties on an as-needed basis.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Graduating in May/Dec 2026 or May 2027
• Proficient in python programming language
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning
• Familiar with git and github repositories
• Familiarity with anomaly detection is a plus
• Familiairity with Finance datasets is a plus
• Ability to communicate resulsta and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
• Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven
• Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
