The objective of this project is to develop cutting-edge computer vision models and design a comprehensive healthcare system that integrates these models. This system will function as a decision support tool for clinicians, aimed at augmenting diagnostic accuracy and enhancing productivity. The internship will commence with a foundational understanding of various advanced computer vision frameworks, progressing towards the prototyping and development of a collaborative application that addresses real-world healthcare challenges.
First Phase: The internship will begin with a foundational understanding of advanced computer vision frameworks, equipping the candidate with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
This phase will include:
- In-depth study of computer vision algorithms and techniques
- Hands-on experience in developing computer vision models
- Implementation of algorithms for image processing, feature extraction, and model training
- Data exploration and preprocessing to effectively handle real-world datasets
- Familiarization with popular computer vision libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Understanding of deep learning architectures commonly used in computer vision (e.g., CNNs, R-CNNs, GANs)
Second Phase: Building on the skills acquired, the internship will advance to the prototyping and development of a collaborative application that addresses real-world healthcare challenges.
The selected intern will participate but not limited to the following:
- Web or mobile app development using modern frameworks and technologies
- Integration of AI models into the application, ensuring efficient functionality
- Designing user-friendly interfaces for healthcare professionals
- Implementing secure data handling and storage solutions
- Developing APIs for seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to gather requirements and refine the application
- Conducting thorough testing and validation of the developed system
- Documenting the development process and creating user manuals
- Presenting the final product to stakeholders and incorporating feedback
About you:
- Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Graduating in May/Dec 2026 or May 2027
- Strong coding skills in python programming language
- Familiarity with git and github repositories is desirable
- Understand concepts related to image data augmentation and deep learning models
- Hands-on experience in Python for image processing and model deployment for app development is preferred
- Familiarity with API integration, hands on web/mobile application development is preferred
- Adaptability to work on a constantly evolving environment
- Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven
- Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
