As a Business Analyst Intern at Synapxe, you will support the requirement management and solution delivery of IT systems and feature enhancements that tech enable Singapore’s national healthcare services. You will work closely with Project Managers, Software Engineers, Software Quality Engineers and business stakeholders to learn how real world healthcare systems are planned, designed, delivered and supported at scale. This internship is designed to give you hands-on exposure to end to end business analysis, from understanding business needs, proposing and evaluating solution options, seeing through the delivery lifecycle to supporting post deployment activities.

 

The selected intern will participate in, but is not limited to, the following:


Requirements Elicitation, Analysis & Documentation

  • Support requirements gathering activities through discussions, workshops and review of policies or existing documentation
  • Assist in analysing business requirements, including functional and non functional needs
  • Document user stories, use cases, workflows and requirement clarifications as assigned, with guidance

 

Solution & Design Support

  • Work closely with technical teams to understand solution options and system constraints
  • Assist in preparing functional design artefacts such as: 
    • Process flows and workflow diagrams
    • Wireframes or simple prototypes
    • Interface specifications or data flow mappings
  • Support impact analysis for new features or system enhancement

 

Requirements Communication & Clarifications

  • Support communication of requirements and functional designs to development, testing and operations teams
  • Provide clarifications on requirements and business rules throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives

 

Testing & Deployment Support

  • Assist in reviewing test scenarios to ensure sufficient coverage of business workflows and use cases 
  • Help coordinate feedback, defects and refinements arising from UAT activities
  • Support post deployment verification to ensure features meet business needs

 

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Learn Performance Engineering standards, methodology and tools
  • Understand workload modelling and formulate various types of Performance Tests to test an application for optimized user experience
  • Identify application performance issues. Log defects and follow through with stakeholders for closure of issues

 

Quality Standards, Processes & Reporting

  • Support preparation of release notes, training materials or user guides
  • Assist in training or knowledge transfer sessions for end users and internal support teams
  • Learn to identify opportunities to improve business processes and system usability

 

About you:

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
  • Graduating in Dec 2026 or May 2027
  • Familiarity with requirement documentation techniques (e.g. user stories, use cases, process flows)
  • Strong interest in business analysis, systems analysis or digital transformation
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to understand business workflows and user needsAble to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Willing to learn, take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologiesExposure to tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent
  • Interest in healthcare systems or public sector digital services
  • Innovative, proactive and a strong team player
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
