With the increasing shortfall of hospital beds in the East, St Andrew Community Hospital (SACH) is establishing a new site named SACH@Bedok, located in Bedok South. This facility will feature approximately 200 beds and is targeted to be operational by mid-2025. As part of the core team for the SACH@Bedok project, the intern will play a crucial role in coordinating with various teams across Synapxe to ensure that all systems are delivered on time and are ready for the go-live phase. This project is a significant undertaking, involving a total of 16 application systems from Synapxe.


The intern will engage in various activities to ensure the successful go-live of SACH@Bedok, including:

  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, facilitating user requirement gathering, communication and collaboration across all teams within Synapxe.
  • Full Dress Rehearsal: Participate in a full dress rehearsal that includes end-to-end systems and integration testing, ensuring all components function function as intended. Track issues that arise during testing and work towards their resolution.
  • System Cutover: Assist in the system cutover process for the go-live phase, ensuring a smooth transition to the new systems.
  • Post Go-Live Support: Provide support after the go-live to address any issues and ensure the systems operate effectively in the live environment.

 

About you:

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline
  • Graduating in Dec 2025 or May/Dec 2026
  • Possess business analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with project management and SDLC concepts
  • Exercise computational thinking to digest and resolve large complex issues
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A passion for improving user experience and understanding user needs in the healthcare context
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
