Assistant Lead Analyst - Lab DI & Instrument Management (Diagnostics)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the implementation, enhancement, and operations of the Data Innovations (DI) Instrument Manager (IM) platform.  This role is suited for a candidate who is comfortable working across both stakeholder-facing activities and technical system configuration for laboratory instrument integrations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from laboratory stakeholders.
• Facilitate requirement workshops and manage stakeholder communications.
• Configure and maintain DI Instrument Manager interfaces and connectivity.
• Set up analyzer connections using HL7, ASTM, TCP/IP, and vendor-specific protocols.
• Configure instrument drivers, mappings, routing, and workflow rules.
• Support onboarding of new laboratory instruments and devices.
• Perform system integration, interface, and user acceptance testing.
• Investigate and resolve connectivity, data mapping, and interface issues.
• Coordinate with laboratories, vendors, infrastructure, and application teams during implementation and go-live activities.
• Maintain solution documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures, and support project governance activities including vendor coordination, procurement processes, documentation management, and implementation tracking.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Healthcare IT, System Integration, or Laboratory Informatics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with middleware, interfaces, or laboratory systems.
• Good understanding of HL7, ASTM, TCP/IP networking, and healthcare integrations.
• Knowledge of healthcare middleware, interface engines, and laboratory workflows.
