Assistant Manager - Application support (Diagnostics)

Position Overview

We are hiring a potential Assistant Manager to provide ongoing applications support of Laboratory Information Systems that plays a critical role in the healthcare industry in processing Lab results and the flow of other vital patient information.

This is a 2 years dicrect contract role with Synapxe 

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide on-going application support
• Perform monitoring of system through system monitoring tools and documentation of artefacts for the various platforms
• Involve in potential solutions evaluation and recommendations to resolve business problems
• Part of quality assurance procedures to ensure system fulfils SLA and access to system is reviewed
• Liaise closely with business users and build good rapport
• Liaise closely with vendors in supporting application patches and upgrades in accordance with project methodologies and policies
• Liaise closely with interfacing systems users and support teams on routine support issues or enhancements
• Provide 24/7 primary application maintenance standby support
• Keen willingness to learn and ask questions

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 7-10 years of experience in application support and coordinating amongst multiple parties
• Analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Meticulous and able to work under pressure
• Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences (external vendors and internal stakeholders)
• Well-balanced team player who is willing to help-out team members as well as can coordinate between cross-functional teams
• Prior working experience in implementing and maintaining IT systems would be an advantage
• Experience in healthcare industry, government or government-linked organizations is an added advantage
