Assistant Manager - Cloud Engineer (Software Engineering)

Position Overview

We are hiring a Cloud Solution Engineer for our Software Engineering team.

The potential candidate will

• be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of our cloud environments
• work to ensure the performance, security, and availability of cloud systems, collaborating with development and operations teams to optimize our cloud solutions. 
• work closely with in-house Agile Squads on Hybrid cloud implementation in various projects in our modern healthcare IT transformation journey
• be consulted by different project teams to provide the solution that is robust and secure 

Role & Responsibilities

• Comply with cloud security best practices and compliance standards for implementing and maintaining the cloud services
• Follow up closely on Security Hub finding review and closure within SLA
• Automate deployment and management processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning for cloud resources
• Conduct regular health check on critical services and backup jobs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications
• Support app/development teams to ensure seamless application deployment and operations
• Ensure to complete the patch and security updates as per schedule for the infra and AWS services such as EKS version upgrade, container image update, Elasticache security update and EC2 OS patching
• Response to operational alerts and security incidents in a timely manner to mitigate risks and ensure system integrity
• Cloud service provisioning, configuration, refinements and IAM policy update as per application needs
• Involve in the design, setup, configuration, and ongoing refinement of the existing and upcoming cloud implementation projects
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices
• Engineer is expected to provide support after office hours and during weekends as needed to ensure system availability and reliability.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of cloud technology implementation / Operation Support of AWS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience building and releasing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) in controlled environment
• Must have knowledge of containerization technologies for such deployment in either AWS/Azure
• Experience in setup, configuration, and deployment of AWS Cloud native services and serverless platform.
• Experience in setup and configuration of application and database health and performance using cloud native services such as Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray
•  Experience in Windows/Linux administration.
