Position Overview

Assoicate End User Computing (EUC) Engineer provides advanced technical support and leads the implementation and maintenance of end user computing systems. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the security and reliability of end user environments. Have strong leadership and communication abilities and is able to set realistic goals and implement appropriate plans to guide the team toward achieving those goals. The Lead EUC Engineer also mentors junior team members and collaborates with other IT teams to enhance service delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Support:
• Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to, document, and resolve complex service tickets in a timely manner.
• Assist users with advanced installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.

System Implementation and Maintenance:
• Lead the deployment and integration of new hardware and software systems.
• Conduct acceptance testing and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups.

Performance and Security Management:
• Monitor and optimize the performance of end user computing systems.
• Implement and enforce security measures and conduct regular audits.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Issue Resolution:
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement preventive measures to reduce the occurrence of issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to address and resolve cross-functional problems.

Team Leadership and Development:
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior EUC engineers.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Assist in the development of support documentation and training materials.

Collaboration and Reporting:
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand and meet support requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and support activities.
• Prepare and present reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent 
  • Possessed minimum 5-6 years of relevant EUC experience 
  • Experience with handling end user equipments and large volume of users
  • Experience in VIP support and vendor management
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage end users, stakeholders and vendor
  • Able to travel to different sites for support as and when required 
  • Experience in healthcare domain environment will be a plus
  • 1 year contract
