Position Overview

The Associate Network Engineer supports and maintains infrastructure operations; monitors infrastructure performance and resolution of technical problems. He/She leads high impact projects, prioritises and assigns tasks to ensure that team’s resources are used effectively and that infrastructure projects are implemented in accordance with plans and budgets. He/She identifies and resolves highly complex or specialised issues that may require the establishment of new techniques and processes. Able to anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends improvements. Required to be on standby with on-call availability with varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Applies a critical and analytical approach to resolving technical problems. Works well with the team and is able to guide them to ensure infrastructure projects are well implemented.

Role & Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure and transformation projects, from initiation, planning, design, implementation, testing, and operational handover.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Drive network modernization initiatives such as LAN/WAN refresh, SD-WAN deployment, wireless upgrades, data center migration, and cloud connectivity.
  • Manage vendor procurement, contract negotiations, project governance, and stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee testing, migration, cutover, and post-implementation support to minimize business disruption.

Network Operations (BAU)

  • Manage daily network operations to ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security of enterprise network services.
  • Oversee incident, problem, change, and service request management in accordance with ITIL best practices and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead operational teams and vendors in monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation management, and root cause analysis.
  • Drive capacity planning, service improvement initiatives, operational readiness, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
  • Manage operational governance, KPI/SLA reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous service optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of hands‑on experience in network operation support and network project management
  • Minimum CCNA certified
  • CCNP certification preferred; CCIE certification will be a strong added advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Huawei or equivalent technologies
  • Proven hands‑on experience in implementing, operating, and troubleshooting Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) environments
  • Strong operational and troubleshooting experience supporting LAN/WAN networks, including MPLS architectures
  • Hands‑on experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions (e.g., authentication, authorization, policy enforcement) will be an added advantage
  • Exposure to enterprise wireless networking technologies is an added advantage
  • Comfortable to commit 24/7 standby
  • Able to travel to differnt PHI sites among the cluster 
  • 2 years contract
