Poly Internship Sep 2026 to Feb 2027 - Cloud Infrastructure Intern

We are looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our cloud operations team as a Cloud Infrastructure Intern. This internship is designed to provide a well-rounded and immersive experience in enterprise cloud environments, offering exposure to a broad range of technologies and operational practices, with a focus on Azure platforms and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in particular.

Throughout the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced cloud and IT professionals, contributing to live projects and day-to-day operations. The role is structured to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, enabling the intern to develop a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational best practices. Beyond technical skills, the intern will also gain valuable experience in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to support the delivery of scalable and secure cloud solutions. The internship also encompasses elements of project coordination, providing a holistic view of how cloud initiatives are planned, managed, and executed within an enterprise setting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in cloud technology and gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The selected intern will participate in, but is not limited to, the following:

• Assist in the provisioning, configuration, and day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure across Azure, including virtual machines, storage, and cloud functions.
• Support the setup and automation of project deployments, maintenance tasks, and automation pipelines to enhance operational efficiency.
• Help maintain cloud-based projects and staging environments while applying best practices to optimise performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with the End User Computing (EUC) team, other internal teams, and external vendors to understand requirements and contribute to scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Gain hands-on exposure to containerisation, monitoring tools, and identity and access management in a public cloud setting.
• Learn to set up alerts, dashboards, and scripting techniques to monitor and manage cloud resources effectively.
• Document cloud configurations, technical processes, and internal tools to support knowledge sharing and operational clarity.
• Troubleshoot real-world cloud infrastructure issues and participate in live projects to build practical experience.
• Assist in project coordination efforts, supporting the planning, tracking, and communication of project tasks and milestones to ensure timely delivery.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Diploma in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Risk Management or related field
• Graduating in May 2027
• Foundation in cloud tools and resource
• Self-motivated, proactive, and curious with a desire to learn about organisational change
• Passionate about improving how organisations deliver and adopt change, especially in the context of HealthTech
• Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
