The Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) is one of the three major healthcare programmes that Singapore has embarked on to transform care delivery in Singapore.
As a single unified electronic medical record (EMR) across the National University Health Systems (NUHS) and National Healthcare Group (NHG), NGEMR enhances care management and delivery, while empowering patients. It records the entire patient journey across different care settings, enabling patient-centric care and seamless care transition. NGEMR also supports clinical decision with its intelligent alerts and data analytical capabilities. The aggregation of data translates to insights for medical education, research and population management to achieve better health outcomes.
The selected intern will participate in, but is not limited to, the following:
- Participate in the integration of the current SingHealth Queue Management System with NGEMR and tech refresh
- Participate in full-cycle SDLC activities from user requirements gathering, systems integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, project management and stakeholder management
- Work on integration activities to connect downstream systems (QMS and SSS) to NGEMR: Aid in defining integration requirements, examine interfacing data flows, and assist in verifying end-to-end transactions.
- Prepare concise status updates, test reports, and defect summaries for project stakeholders.
- Any other Ad-Hoc tasks as required
About you:
- Be pursuing a Diploma in Business Information Systems, Infocomm & Security, Information Technology or related discipline
- Graduating in May 2027
- Basic knowledge of system architecture, network and IT security
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholder
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A positive team player with an ownership mind-set, and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
