Position Overview
The Senior Systems Analyst in the Digital Competency Centre (DCC) enables healthcare staff to adopt citizen development, automation and GenAI capabilities safely, effectively and at scale. The role focuses on building digital capability, providing hands‑on advisory support, and enabling platforms that empower users to design and deploy their own solutions within established governance frameworks.
This role works closely with users, programme teams and platform stakeholders to deliver advisory clinics, workshops and enablement initiatives, while also contributing to platform governance, investment proposals and budget support for citizen development and GenAI enablement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide front‑line advisory support to cluster's staff adopting citizen development, automation and GenAI tools, guiding users from use‑case exploration to practical execution.
- Run user‑facing advisory clinics, office hours and consultations, proactively engaging users to clarify needs, assess feasibility and apply approved usage patterns.
- Actively guide users through self‑service solution development, advising on configuration, trade‑offs and compliance while maintaining clear user ownership of solutions.
- Execute day‑to‑day enablement and onboarding activities for DCC‑supported platforms (e.g. internal chatbot platforms, RPA, Power Platform), acting as a first‑line point of contact.
- Independently resolve routine to moderately complex enablement issues within defined guidelines, prioritising activities based on user need and readiness, and escalating higher‑risk or novel scenarios where appropriate.
- Deliver and co‑deliver workshops, training sessions and hands‑on labs to support applied learning and real‑world use‑case development.
- Maintain and continuously improve user‑facing documentation, onboarding guides, FAQs and reference materials to support scalable adoption.
- Proactively identify usability issues, adoption friction points and recurring support themes, and provide structured feedback to improve platforms and enablement approaches.
- Operate within established governance frameworks, helping users understand and apply Responsible AI, data protection and security guardrails in practice.
- Gather and synthesise user feedback and adoption insights, sharing recurring patterns and common pitfalls to improve overall enablement effectiveness and reduce repeat issues.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with automation platforms (e.g. UiPath, Power Platform, Blue Prism or equivalent), with understanding of use‑case suitability, basic design considerations and enterprise constraints.)
- Awareness of GenAI tools or enterprise AI platforms is advantageous, particularly in regulated or healthcare contexts.
- Experience supporting users or stakeholders in adopting digital tools, platforms or workflows.
- Proactive and solution‑oriented, with the ability to anticipate issues and take initiative within defined boundaries.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to resolve issues independently using established guidelines.
- Clear and empathetic communicator, able to translate technical concepts into practical, plain‑English guidance.
- Comfortable engaging users across diverse digital maturity levels.
- Structured, detail‑oriented and reliable in execution, documentation and follow‑through.
- Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with peers and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrates sound judgement in balancing user enablement, delivery timelines and governance requirements in day‑to‑day work.
