Senior Systems Analyst - SQL (Health Finance)

Position Overview

Application system support for CGH Patient Information Management System (PIMS), SingHealth Bed Management System (BMS) and Mass Casualty Information System (MCIS). This role requires 24/7 primary application maintenance standby support.

This is a 2 years direct contract role.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide on-going application support and be involved in various stages of the SDLC.
  • Conduct user requirement analysis for the development / implementation of new systems and for enhancements to existing systems.
  • Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to resolve business problems.
  • Involvement in the system integration testing phase prior to implementation.
  • Plan and coordinate end-user training for any system implementations or enhancements.
  • Liaise closely with business users and build good rapport.
  • Liaise closely with vendors in project implementation, application testing, supporting application patches and upgrades in accordance with project methodologies and policies.
  • Support the team in defining project requirements, tracking and documentation.
  • Provide 24/7 primary application maintenance standby support.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in application support, systems maintenance, or healthcare IT systems.
  • Strong application troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Database knowledge and application development skills like SQL and SQL Reporting.
  • Experience in developing report using SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Prior hands-on experience with technologies such as .NET, Java or Web Services
  • Relevant experience in project, user & vendor management preferred
  • Able to work independently.
  • Experience with production support and vendor management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Good team player, resourceful, flexible and excellent working attitude.
  • Experience supporting patient administration, bed management, or healthcare operational systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare workflows and data governance practices.
  • Knowledge of business and IT in healthcare industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
