Systems Analyst - IT Integration (NGEMR)

Position Overview

The Integration Analyst will be responsible for development of interfaces between legacy systems and the Epic EMR modules.

The potential candidate

• will need to act as a liaison, working with both vendors and end users during this development to meet project goals and needs.
• should be knowledgeable about healthcare industry policies, procedures, and business operations that relate to EMRs. 
• has to perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, testing and other technical issues associated with the interfaces. 
• is responsible for producing standard documentation for interfaces (Business requirements, end to end diagrams and mapping document). 

This is a 2 years direct contract role 

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist the  leads in the planning of business analysis approach by defining the methods, techniques and tools to be used for business analysis
• Prepare governance deliverables to track status, risks, changes and issues pertaining to day-to-day management of all functional areas of system/data product analysis
• Contribute in the preparation of the stakeholder communication plan
• Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders to identify system/data products requirements
• Provide analysis to support the development of business cases
• Support user requirement analysis through information collection
• Support the analysis of business requirements and feasibility studies of possible solutions
• Prepare requirements specifications and solution proposals
• Contribute to the identification of a range of solution options
• Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design and implementation
• Function as the liaison between users and technical staff throughout the solution implementation cycle
• Contribute to identification of solution change risks
• Facilitate System Integration Testing by coordinating the development teams of various integrations
• Work with relevant stakeholders on user acceptance testing 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical field, (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related technical discipline)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with the legacy teams and end users
• 1-3+ years’ experience working on Integrations Projects preferable in healthcare domain
• Ability to work in rapidly changing environment with time constraints
• Strong understanding of workflow/process within the hospital and clinic setting is preferred 
• Strong understanding of interface configuration, testing processes and procedures is preferred 
• Excellent documentation and handoff skills
• Experience in developing and supporting web based applications using C#,  SQL, IIS, or other technologies preferred
• Experience working with Rhapsody/Cloverleaf preferred
• Energetic, Pro-active with a sense of urgency to do things and a strong desire to learn
• Independent and self-motivated
• Ability to self-manage
