The intern will join the cloud team and support the design and prototype of AI-driven solutions to automate routine tasks, improve incident response, and generate SOPs. The role also involves analyzing operational data to identify patterns and support data-driven decisions, contributing to AI integration with cloud platforms to enhance efficiency, reliability, and knowledge management.

 

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

 

1) AI & Automation Development

  • Design and prototype Generative AI agents for cloud operation tasks (e.g., incident triage, alert summarization, automation scripts)
  • Integrate AI capabilities with cloud tools (e.g., monitoring systems, ticketing platforms, DevOps pipelines)
  • Experiment with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or orchestration of AI workflows

 

2) Cloud Operations Optimization

  • Analyze existing cloud infrastructure processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Assist in developing AI-assisted runbooks for common operational scenarios.
  • Support implementation of process improvements using scripting or automation frameworks.

 

3) Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Use AI tools to generate, refine, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure documentation is structured, version-controlled, and easily reusable.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and usability of AI-generated documentation.

 

4) Data Mining & Analytics

  • Perform data mining on cloud logs, system metrics, and operational datasets.
  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, or performance bottlenecks.
  • Visualize findings using dashboards or reporting tools.

 

5) Research & Innovation

  • Explore emerging trends in AI agents, cloud automation, and AIOps.
  • Contribute ideas and proof-of-concepts for innovative AI applications.
  • Document findings, methodologies, and project outcomes.

 

About You:

 

  • Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (e.g. AWS, Azure, containerisation, cloud services)
  • Exposure to automation, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation concepts is an advantage
  • Familiarity with data analytics, data mining, or visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Keen interest in AI, cloud technologies, automation, and emerging technologies
  • Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
