As an intern you will join the Data Science & AI team to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science solutions for healthcare applications. Interns will work on projects involving wearable sensor analytics, time-series signal processing, computer vision, document understanding, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Projects may involve analysing wearable sensor data, developing predictive machine learning models, exploring computer vision techniques, building OCR pipelines, evaluating multimodal AI systems, and applying Generative AI technologies to healthcare challenges.
The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

Perform data analysis on healthcare datasets

Process and analyze wearable sensor and time-series data
-
Develop machine learning and deep learning models for healthcare applications

Explore Computer Vision techniques for image, video, and document analysis
-
Investigate OCR, document understanding, and multimodal AI workflows
-
Evaluate and benchmark machine learning, Computer Vision, and LLM models
-
Conduct literature reviews on emerging AI technologies and healthcare applications
-
Support model training, validation, optimization, and deployment activities
-
Collaborate with clinicians, software engineers, and researchers to translate healthcare challenges into AI solutions

Document methodologies, experiment results, and technical findings
About You:
-
Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline

Strong proficiency in Python programming, with solid coding fundamentals

Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts, including data analysis and model evaluation

Hands-on experience with common AI/ML libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Familiarity with data processing, model development, and evaluation methodologies

Exposure to one or more specialised areas is an advantage: Computer Vision, Time-Series or Sensor Data Analytics, Signal Processing, Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), OCR and Document Understanding

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. Git) and collaborative workflows

Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) is a plus

Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven

Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills

Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
