We are looking for intern(s) to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team to support the development of backend microservices and APIs, contributing to scalable platform features through Java-based application development and system integration.

 

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

 

  • Develop and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot, following design and coding standards
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to support integration with internal systems and downstream applications
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and performance of backend services
  • Work with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) for data modelling, querying, and optimization
  • Implement business logic and automation workflows within backend services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. frontend engineers, DevOps) to support end-to-end feature delivery
  • Contribute to code reviews and CI/CD pipeline improvements to enhance development efficiency and code quality

 

About You:

 

  • Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline 
  • Proficiency in Java programming language
  • Basic understanding of Spring Boot and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design principles
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team-based development environment
  • Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven 
  • Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
