The Threat Intelligence (TI) team manages time-sensitive intelligence tasks that require continuous monitoring, triage, and validation within tight operational timelines. We are looking for intern(s) tp join us to gain hands-on experience in the Threat Intelligence (TI) team within Synapxe. The intern will support day-to-day cybersecurity operations by handling structured tasks and assisting in improving how intelligence work is managed and prioritized. The project also involves exploring simple ways to enhance workflows and reduce manual effort, allowing analysts to focus on higher-value security activities.
The selected intern(s) will assist in following:
- Support daily Threat Intelligence operations, including monitoring tasks, updating trackers, and assisting with routine processing work
- Assist in reviewing current TI processes and task flows to understand how tasks are handled and identify areas for improvement
- Help categorise and prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance to support more efficient operations
- Explore AI opportunities to improve repetitive tasks, including identifying simple use cases where automation or AI tools may be applied
- Support the development of improved workflows, including proposing ideas to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
About You:
- Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat intelligence, common attack types, and indicators of compromise (IOCs)
- Familiarity with data handling, including using Excel or spreadsheets to organise, analyse, and interpret data
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement
- Basic knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell) is a plus
- Awareness of AI concepts, such as classification, summarisation, and pattern detection, is an advantage
- Good communication and documentation skills, with willingness to learn and work in a structured environment
- Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven
- Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
