Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 - HCC Cloud Platform Improvement

This internship supports the Cloud Platform Engineering team, through cloud governance, security posture management, and automation within a large-scale, multi-account environment (100+ AWS and Azure accounts/subscriptions). The intern will contribute to strengthening security baselines, enhancing reporting pipelines, and automating compliance checks across hybrid cloud platforms, supporting improvements in enterprise cloud security and policy enforcem.

The selected intern(s) will assist in the following:

• Support the enhancement and implementation of Synapxe-owned CIS OS benchmarks.
• Assist in strengthening cloud security controls and compliance frameworks.
• Contribute to centralised reporting, monitoring, and remediation processes.
• Support policy enforcement and governance across AWS and Azure environments.

About You:

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, or a related discipline
• Basic understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages for automation tasks
• Interest in cloud security, governance, compliance, and risk management
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as security controls, vulnerability management, and security best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven 
• Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills 
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
