This internship project supports SingHealth's Hyperautomation Center of Excellence, focusing on accelerating the adoption of new technologies and enhancing digital skills among healthcare professionals. We are seeking a technically proficient intern with a strong foundation in computer science or a related field.

 

Key Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or C#)
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

 

Project Focus Areas:

  1. Technology Implementation and Automation (40% of time):
    a) Develop and implement 2-3 Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots using UiPath
    b) Create 2-3 custom applications or tools using Open Government Products (OGP) platforms
    c) Design and implement advanced workflows and automations in Microsoft 365 (M365)
    d) Assist in the development of APIs for system integration
  2. Data Analysis and Reporting (20% of time):
    a) Develop data pipelines for adoption metrics tracking
    b) Create interactive dashboards using Power BI
    c) Perform statistical analysis on adoption trends and upskilling progress
    d) Generate automated monthly reports using Python or R
  3. Training Content Development (15% of time):
    a) Design and develop hands-on coding exercises for RPA, OGP, and M365
    b) Create technical documentation
    c) Develop interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline
  4. Digital Innovation Support (15% of time):
    a) Assist in architecting and developing 2-3 prototype applications
    b) Implement serverless functions for microservices architecture
    c) Contribute to the development of machine learning models for process optimisation
  5. Community Building and Knowledge Sharing (10% of time):
    a) Develop and maintain a knowledge base using tools like SharePoint, Viva Engage, etc
    b) Create technical blog posts on implementation best practices
    c) Assist in organising and presenting at technical meetups and webinars

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support content creation and delivery to increase awareness and outreach for new technologies and initiatives
  • Collect and document success stories from technology implementations across SingHealth
  • Assist in organising and running awareness campaigns and events to promote digital adoption
  • Contribute to the development of case studies showcasing successful digital transformations in healthcare
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify potential areas for technological improvement and innovation

 

About you:

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
  • Graduating in Dec 2025 or May/Dec 2026
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Sharepoint Online, Teams
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts
  • Experience in creating digital content (e.g., infographics, videos, tutorials
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems or previous internship/project experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to quickly grasp new technologies and concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solver with a user-centric approach
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech

 

This internship will be at Connection One, Tower 3 Level 6.
