The National Billing System (NBS) is one of the three major programmes that the Singapore public healthcare sector has embarked on to transform care delivery. Its objective is to achieve a common charging and billing system across the nation's public health institutions (PHIs). A one-stop system that provides a consistent finance and billing experience for patients and healthcare professionals. 

NBS will deliver a national charging and billing system that provides a consistent experience for patients and healthcare professionals across more than 60 public healthcare institutions. Patients will benefit from an intuitive and transparent view of costs and subsidies, while healthcare clusters will enjoy streamlined billing processes and electronic inter-cluster billing, saving time and effort. NBS will also enable quicker and easier implementation of the new or revised government policies across healthcare institutions in Singapore.

System changes are National wide and hence this role provides unparalleled exposure to the Singapore healthcare landscape.

The intern will play a pivotal role in the following:

• Support the roll out of new national billing system to various Public Healthcare institutions.
• Gain exposure to the new technology (Brim solutioning) deployed in Healthcare industry and provide go-live support
• Prepare for pre-deployment activities for go-live such as Full Dess Rehearsal, Cutover.
• Understand the issues of the new system and work closely with Project Team to provide statistic for management reporting during project go-live.
• Partner with vendors closely to track and fix the production tickets. This includes working with vendor to provide a resolution before releasing it to end users for testing.
• Gain insights to project management in healthcare projects and ability to work with cross departments within the company to deliver the project.
• Engage with stakeholder communication throughout deployment stage.

About you:

• Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or related field
• Graduating in Dec 2025 or May/Dec 2026
• Learn about governance and process used in IT operations
• Possess business analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Exercise computational thinking to digest and resolve large complex issues
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
